Two of my clients have quilts featured in the January 2019 no 6 issue of Curated Quilts magazine. Pam Rocco created the cover quilt, Metropolis. This was one of the very few quilts that I've custom quilted for anyone. She was very sweet and asked me to have fun and to do what the quilt called me to do. I chose to stitch straight lines in a variety of widths and directions using the channel locks and some ruler work.
Also Mickey Beebe had her quilt, Eichler Homes, featured in this issue as well. For this quilt I did an edge 2 edge design and kept the immediate areas around each house unquilted. That way Mickey could add some dramatic thick black line embroidered details to each house .. including the perfect TV antennas (my favorite part!)
I'm so proud of both Pam and Mickey. Each of them have had some amazing work featured in different quilt shows and publications. I'm looking forward to seeing what new works they have in store for the quilt world.
